In 2014, we originally reported that Penn Station Subs was exploring plans to build a new store in Xenia, on Progress Drive near the Verizon Wireless store. Even though they sought and gained approval from the City for the building plans, the company and property owner later announced they were unable to come to a purchase or lease agreement.
We have since learned, through Country Records, that Penn Station is seeking permit approvals to move forward with their plans to build in Xenia, however not at the original sought Progress Drive location. Instead, they have submitted plans and permits to build just down the street at 195 Hospitality Drive. Which shares a property line with the new Hampton Inn being built currently.
Our call to Penn Station was not returned yet, however we did speak with an employee of another of it’s stores and they confirmed that the Company is moving forward with their plans in Xenia. The employee stated that store managers at other nearby locations were “informed of the plans” and they included the Xenia location opening later this year.
